The Patient Registration Representative will enjoy interacting with patients, checking them in for their appointments, and coordinating follow-up appointments. The role involves accurately performing administrative duties related to patient registration, including entering demographic and insurance information and collecting copays. As a liaison to patients, the community, and healthcare professionals, this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service.
The work environment is high-volume and fast-paced, requiring the ability to greet and check patients in upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service to patients and families presenting for appointments, surgeries, therapies, or procedures. Registration and checkout are completed at centralized welcome desks at hospital entrances, medical office buildings, and within physician practices. The Patient Registration Representative may also be responsible for collecting point-of-service payments and scheduling appointments.
