Research Technician (Kingston)

North Carolina State University – Department of Clinical Sciences, Raleigh, NC. Temporary position in the Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory.

• Process human and animal samples for diagnostic and research purposes.
• Perform molecular-based assays and extraction of blood, serum, and tissues.
• Organize, store, and maintain inventory of DNA, blood, and serum samples.
• Record test results accurately in the research database.
• Troubleshoot and interpret results when discrepancies arise.

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science field (animal science, biology, microbiology, etc.).
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Benchtop laboratory skills: pipetting, sample processing, DNA extraction.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
