Surgical Technologist - Raleigh

About The Role Medworks is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical support team serving the greater Raleigh, NC region. In this critical hands-on role, you will work alongside fellow Medworks teammates and surgical staff to deliver, set up, operate, and support medical lasers and surgical equipment during procedures. You will play an essential role in the operating room—ensuring that every case proceeds safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

Whether you're preparing sterile instruments, assisting surgical teams, operating Medworks equipment, or helping maintain a laser-safe and aseptic environment, you'll be making a real difference in surgical outcomes.

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile instruments, surgical equipment, and supplies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and pass instruments efficiently.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards throughout surgeries.
• Operate and monitor Medworks rental lasers and other specialty surgical equipment.
• Communicate clearly with surgical teams and act as a liaison for client preferences.
• Assist with post-procedure clean-up, restocking, and maintaining operational readiness.
• Complete documentation and track equipment usage and case details accurately.

• Certification
  
  Required:
  
  Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA or equivalent accredited body. Applications without certification will not be considered.

• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards.
• High stamina and time management for long, fast-paced surgical schedules.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Experience:
  
  Familiarity with urology, gynecology, or general surgery a plus.

• Monday–Friday schedule
• Occasional on-call rotation as needed.
• Travel between client hospitals in the greater Raleigh region; may be asked to cover cases anywhere in NC or VA as needed.
