Overview
Are you an experienced MRI Technologist looking for a unique opportunity to take your skills on the road? Wake Med is launching a brand-new Mobile MRI Team
, and we’re looking for passionate professionals to help us deliver high-quality imaging care across our community.
As part of this dynamic team, you’ll operate our Wake Med-owned mobile MRI unit
, traveling locally to support multiple outpatient sites and Healthplex locations - RMP, Garner, Brier Creek, Wendell, Apex
. You’ll perform a wide range of exams including brain, spine, MSK, abdomen, pelvis, and breast imaging — all under the direct order of a physician and in alignment with our standard operating procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Deliver timely, professional, and safe patient care
- Travel locally between designated Wake Med sites
- Perform IV starts confidently and independently

Licensure- Registered Technologist in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- OR Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Accredited Program Radiologic Technology Required - Or Accredited Program Nuclear Medicine Required
Experience1 Year Clinical - Radiology Required
- Registered Technologist in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
