Overview
The Team Leader of the Cardiovascular Testing department assists the department Manager and Supervisor in the coordination, education, and daily operations of the lab. The Team Leader will support staff to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the performance of procedure related services. The Team Leader will also be a Registered Sonographer (Cardiac and/or Vascular modalities) and act as a department resource in the understanding of normal and abnormal Cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology.
The Team Leader must be able to demonstrate expertise in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system. Demonstrated expertise must be in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. The Team Leader will also understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.
Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Preferred.

LicensureRegistered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required - And Registered Vascular Technologist Required - Or Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required - And Registered Vascular Specialist Required
EducationGraduate Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound Required - Or Graduate Cardiac Ultrasound Required - Or Graduate Cardiovascular Sonography Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred
ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of experience in vascular field and at least 5 years of experience in echocardiography.
