Overview

The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Quality Assurance Technical Writer to play a key role in supporting OSA's oversight, audit, and risk management functions. This position will be responsible for producing clear, accurate, and well-structured audit reports, developing risk and internal control documentation, and assisting with organization-wide risk assessment activities.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit, and finalize audit reports across OSA’s four audit divisions
  • Attend weekly meetings with report writers to provide editorial guidance over drafts, ensure clarity, and uphold agency writing standards
  • Assist OSA’s Risk Management Division in developing documents, and enhancing internal control frameworks
  • Contribute to the preparation of OSA’s annual audit report, supporting research, drafting, and documentation efforts
  • Support the creation and tracking of key performance indicators and risk-related metrics
  • Attend OSA’s Risk Committee meetings
Minimum Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment

An equivalent combination of training and experience
