Seasonal Tax Preparer

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Part‑Time Seasonal Tax Specialist to join our team during the peak tax season. In this role, you will prepare, review, and file individual federal and state tax returns (Form 1040) while providing exceptional service to clients in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

• Accurately prepare and file federal and state individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and related schedules).
• Interview clients to gather relevant financial information, including income, expenses, deductions, and life‑event details that impact their tax situation.
• Identify available deductions, credits, and other tax‑saving opportunities to help clients minimize liabilities and maximize refunds.
• Ensure all returns comply with current federal and state tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidelines.
• Stay up to date on legislative changes affecting individual taxpayers.
• Analyze financial documents such as W‑2, 1099, income statements, and expense records.
• In some cases, review returns prepared by others to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Clearly explain tax laws, filing requirements, and return outcomes in easy‑to‑understand terms.
• Address client questions with professionalism, accuracy, and a focus on customer service.
