Position Overview
The Payroll Compliance Analyst supports U.S. payroll compliance, payroll tax oversight, and general ledger reconciliation activities. This role partners with Payroll, Tax, Finance, and ADP to ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations. Payroll tax filings are executed by ADP Smart Compliance and/or the internal Tax department; this role focuses on review, validation, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Support payroll compliance activities across U.S. payrolls processed in ADP Global View.
- Review and maintain payroll tax filings and payments prepared by ADP Smart Compliance.
- Assist with payroll and payroll tax reconciliations to the general ledger.
- Support resolution of payroll tax notices and agency inquiries.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑payroll audits to validate tax accuracy.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to resolve payroll data issues.
- Support system testing and payroll‑related projects.
- Develop standard work for all regional payroll compliance processes, ensuring coordination with regional policy, HR work streams, and finance requirements.
- Support regional payroll processing as required.
- 3–5 years of U.S. payroll compliance or payroll tax experience.
- Experience supporting payroll tax filings managed by ADP Smart Compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with U.S. payroll processing.
- Experience working in ADP Global View environments.
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Knowledge and skill set to run standard and create ad hoc reports.
- Define strategy for processing wage garnishments in compliance with local laws.
- Define strategy for accurate and on‑time governmental reporting and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field with 10 years hands‑on experience and a strong understanding of payroll.
- 3 years’ experience with regional payroll delivery models working with ADP Global View, ADP Celergo or ADP Streamline service models.
- Must be proficient with MS Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Regional payroll related certifications.
