Pay Bright is a leading provider of end-to-end payment solutions. The company’s mission is to enable businesses and consumers to connect and transact seamlessly through best-of-breed solutions in payment processing, digital wallet, card issuing, and online cash applications.
Pay Bright was founded by a college student who identified the struggles that most businesses face when it comes to accepting credit cards. After a few short years,
Pay Bright has become the chosen processor of thousands of businesses spanning the entire country. The company’s expansion has been amazing, and we are looking for exceptional people to join the Pay Bright Team.

Pay Bright is seeking a Finance Operations Team Lead to play a critical, hands‑on role in executing and organizing day‑to‑day finance operations work across billing, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis. You will be the most senior active individual contributor on the Finance team and will lead by example through volume, reliability, and attention to detail. This role is execution‑focused and designed for someone who thrives on owning defined work, meeting deadlines, and producing accurate outputs in a fast‑moving environment.

This is not a systems architecture or strategy role today. Instead, the position exists to stabilize and strengthen execution across finance operations, reduce operational noise, and free leadership to focus on system design and long‑term improvements. You will partner closely with Operations leadership on process improvement and special projects, and the right person will have a clear opportunity to grow into broader ownership and greater responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute finance operations work across billing, reconciliations, residual adjustments, and vendor and merchant invoice review
  • Ensure finance operations tasks are completed accurately, on time, and at expected volume across the department
  • Own day‑to‑day execution of finance deadlines and follow‑through
  • Serve as the most experienced, hands‑on contributor on the finance operations team
  • Provide informal guidance and day‑to‑day support to finance peers without formal people management responsibility
  • Help prioritize incoming work and ensure deadlines are met
  • Produce ad hoc and recurring reports based on clearly defined requests from Operations leadership
  • Perform structured analyses including program comparisons, cost and spend reviews, and ROI calculations using provided definitions
  • Validate data accuracy and identify inconsistencies, gaps, or missing inputs
  • Identify inefficiencies or recurring issues within existing finance operations workflows
  • Partner with Operations leadership to improve processes once direction is defined
  • Assist with documenting procedures and standard operating practices
  • Execute approved process or workflow changes consistently and accurately
  • Collaborate with Operations, Support, and Finance teams to resolve billing, reporting, and reconciliation discrepancies
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to finance operations with clear timelines and follow‑through
  • Support time‑sensitive and deadline‑driven requests with accuracy and reliability
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-8+ years of experience in finance operations, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or similar execution‑focused roles
  • Hands‑on experience working with transaction‑heavy financial data and recurring operational processes
  • Experience supporting reporting requests and delivering outputs within defined timelines
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency in high‑volume, transaction‑heavy environments
  • Strong ability to execute finance operations work accurately and on time
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and SUMIFS
  • Ability to manage deadlines and maintain reliability in a fast‑paced setting
  • Ability to take direction, work independently, and execute defined tasks with minimal oversight
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated reliability…
