EY is seeking a Senior Manager for Real Estate Tax within the Seasonal Tax-Financial Services Organization. The role involves applying broad tax knowledge to a wide range of real estate tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes on complex issues, and leading teams in a collaborative culture.
Responsibilities- Lead tax planning projects for a diverse client base and provide up-to-the-minute tax advice.
- Lead teams and work in a highly collaborative culture, prioritizing listening and information sharing.
- Analyze evolving portfolios of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Identify opportunities and risks and communicate these to clients.
- Learn and research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Build client relationships with deep knowledge of the real estate, hospitality, and construction industries.
- Develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients tax activities.
- Research clients business operations and tailor advice to their needs.
- Supervise a motivated team, ensuring members have the skills and opportunities to reach their full potential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
- Experience managing budgets, people and projects; business development within the market.
- A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- Ability to prioritize on multiple complex projects; strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
- CPA qualification or be a member of a state bar (preferred).

- The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $120/hr to $150/hr salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
