Mortgage Loan Officer - North Carolina

At Regions, the Mortgage Loan Officer directs the origination of residential mortgage loans from a borrower through a branch network.

Primary Responsibilities

This position requires tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked over 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

• Compensation is commission-based.

This position requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). Please refer to for more information.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Extensive mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners, including realtors, builders, and financial planners.

Preferences

• Prior Mortgage Loan Officer experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of mortgage products, systems, terminology, tax requirements, down payment assistance programs, etc.
• Knowledge of agency and investor regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships to deliver high levels of service.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
