Senior Investment Accountant

Financial Services Industry Experience Required | CPA/CFA Preferred

We are partnering with a rapidly growing PE backed financial services company who is looking for a highly motivated Senior Investment Accountant to join their close-knit, dynamic team. This individual will be essential in supporting the business by providing accounting and financial reporting services for the company's investment portfolio. The ideal candidate is a driven, self-starter with a strong understanding of the financial services industry.

• Manage and oversee the accounting and reporting for the company's investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze investment performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to management.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of investment accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures related to investments.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and implement new standards as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA , MBA, or CFA designation preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements related to investment accounting.
• Proficiency in investment accounting software and financial reporting tools
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
