Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team in North Carolina. This role is perfect for a detail‑oriented professional looking to contribute to a dynamic and expanding organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities- Participating in month‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Performing reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Engaging in process improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Recording and reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Providing insights and recommendations for financial decision‑making processes.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting roles with a focus on month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial statement assistance.
- Proven experience with process improvement activities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
The position requires a full‑time commitment, working Monday through Friday.
BenefitsThe position offers competitive compensation with a pay range of $42 to $48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role involves minimal travel, with around 0% travel time expected.
