Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial software, with excellent customer service skills. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws, and providing exceptional support to clients. The Tax Preparer will utilize their expertise in accounting concepts and software to deliver accurate and timely services, contributing to the overall success of our firm.

Duties

• Prepare and review individual and sole-prop business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, and other financial tools to organize financial data.
• Conduct analysis of financial statements and concepts to ensure proper tax reporting.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies and answer inquiries related to tax filings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and delivering professional guidance.
• Perform data entry tasks requiring 10 key typing skills with high accuracy.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting additional financial services offered by the firm.

Skills

• Experience with tax preparation
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, and other financial management tools.
• Excellent analysis skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies or issues.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies related to financial services is a plus.
• Basic math skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and calculations.
