UTS-Temporary Event Preparation

Primary purpose of the position:

The Event Preparation Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various events, including workshops, conferences, and seminars. For example, the Bar Exam, Cyber Security, Engineering Career Fair, and Global Green Energy. Event Staff responsibilities span before and after an event.

• Planning and Preparation
  • The Logistics Manager/Co-Crew Leader will provide the Event Prep set-up instructions via Social Tables, clients, or coordinators for each space.
  • Ensure precise collaboration and accuracy in setting up event spaces.
  • Manage all logistics and scheduling concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Post-Event
  • Break down all equipment and place chairs/tables in the storage area.

Occasional specialized duties may include Audio/Visual technical assistance and operation of specialized equipment as training allows.

• Attend non-revenue generating sporting events for free.
• Work-life balance with Childcare discounts, Wellness & Recreation Membership, and Wellness Programs.

Flexible hours, M-F, 3:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. or as needed. Hours will vary as the schedule changes, occasionally late evenings and weekends, up to 29 hours a week.

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift 90 pounds regularly and involve extensive standing throughout the shift.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.
• Exceptional work performance and professional conduct.
• Excellent attention to detail.
