The Quality & CI (Q&CI) Field and Service Specialist will be responsible for coordinating within NAM the Installation and Commissioning, product and systems reliability requirements in alignment with the Global Quality & Operations as well as the Product Reliability Program initiatives. This individual will be responsible for ensuring proper and timely coordination for the resolution of Installation, Commissioning, and warranty processes, product and equipment failures, serving as the liaison between the Quality & CI Project Quality Managers, the Installation, Commissioning and After Sales Team and other functional teams.

- Follow the Corporate Quality Framework and Improvement plans and program expectations.
- Jointly with the Project Quality Managers (PQM) executes and follows up the Quality Plans, master test plan (MTP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and installation and commissioning of the system status for site activities as required.
- Support the PQM with the review and verification of the ITPs in establishing key and critical control or hold points including special processes (welding, bracing, concrete pouring, etc.)
- The Q&CI Specialist seeks to help prevent installation process and installed base asset failures, ensure the failures reported to the global teams get properly investigated going through a proper root cause analysis. Gather data and coordinate with the relevant teams and groups on the diagnose on failures till proper resolution and reporting with a customer focus approach.
- Support cost of poor-quality identification and reduction associated with asset downtime by providing the necessary information to the Project Quality team, and the Site Managers.
- Conduct and coordinate as applicable failure investigations with local teams, creating the CCRPs (Non-conformances) working with the field personnel in gathering all the data and information for analysis, including analyzing failure mechanisms and implementing solutions to improve reliability, quality, safety, and overall ownership of the reported issues and failures.
- Gathers product reliability data and consolidates the reports (summary report) from the trouble-shooting activities done by the green field activities and field personnel, on current installed base, commissioning failures, upgrades and critical parts as required.
- Prepare, organize, and facilitate applicable working sessions utilizing Quality tools to identify potential risks, failures, and other issues to have the earliest detection of those failure and issues, based on historical or new data.
- Identifies improvement opportunities, drives and facilitates the projects to address Quality and operational issues before and during warranty, as well as during after sales activities.
- Provide necessary service support from handover to Installation/Commissioning and to Warranty phase.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the Service and Operations teams.
- Identify other opportunities across the site to improve efficiency, lower cost, and reduce waste.
- Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement of production equipment, processes, and processes controls.
- Help develop and network with the field teams to continuously improve safety, health, environment, quality, production efficiency, labor/material effectiveness, etc.
- Liaise with Plant and Corporate Engineering to ensure all documentation is maintained up-to-date and readily accessible.
- Support, promote, and demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s core values and behaviors.

- Any other related assignment that impacts construction, installation and commissioning activities.
- Completion of University degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience in engineering, procurement and construction activities, field and major site activities, for energy, oil and gas, nuclear or similar industries.
