Devops Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support an industry‑leading organization with a focus on modern infrastructure, cloud automation, and scalable deployment environments. The Dev Ops Engineer role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, and infrastructure‑as‑code in an onsite environment.

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, networking, and related services.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS) to support production and mission‑critical applications.
• Develop and maintain Terraform‑based Infrastructure‑as‑Code for standardized environment provisioning.
• Implement and support centralized logging and observability using the ELK Stack.
• Administer Linux systems and perform system‑level troubleshooting to support application and infrastructure stability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and security teams to drive automation, reliability, and infrastructure best practices.
• Implement secure access controls and identity governance using AWS IAM and Entra .
• Support Postgres databases as part of application deployments, including configuration and performance considerations.

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, and core networking components.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes cluster management, deployments, and scaling strategies.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure with Terraform.
• Solid Linux administration background with experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing or supporting the ELK Stack or equivalent observability tools.
• Familiarity with identity and access management across AWS and Entra .
• Experience working with Postgres or similar relational databases.
• Must be a US Citizen or GC.

• Salary range: $120,000-$140,000
