General Information

Race On is looking for a Trackside
Performance Engineer to analyze data, optimize vehicle performance, and sharpen race strategies. You’ll work side-by-side with race engineers and drivers to turn telemetry into a competitive advantage - on and off track.

Your profile


Education & Experience:

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Motorsport, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in performance engineering in Formula E, F1, WEC, or similar high-level motor sport categories.
  • Strong expertise in vehicle dynamics, tire behavior, and control systems.
  • Proven trackside experience, collaborating with race engineers and drivers to fine-tune vehicle performance.


Technical

Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Cosworth/ MoTeC/ Atlas, etc).
  • Experience with lap time simulation tools and simulator environments.
  • Strong capabilities in MATLAB and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Python skills for automation and analysis
  • Knowledge of measurement technology and telemetry applications.


Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills—able to work efficiently with teams at the track and remotely.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous performance optimization.
  • Time flexibility and willingness to travel advantageous but not necessary.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.

Work location: USA | Significant travel for races/tests
