- Analysis and design of waterfront structures, inspection of waterfront structures, and other maritime project tasks
- Structural analysis and design of marine structures, including but not limited to piers, wharves, bulkheads, seawalls, offshore platforms, mooring and berthing dolphins, catwalks, utility support structures, drainage structures, retaining walls, towers, and structural foundations.
- Design using timber, structural steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, aluminum, and composite materials
- Assist in the development of plans, specifications, calculations, and reports as needed
- Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project
- Calculate construction quantity estimates
- Work closely with other architects, engineers, scientists, project managers, etc. on multi-discipline projects
- Perform structural site inspections and prepare inspection reports
- Office construction administration including review of shop drawings and technical submittals
- Perform construction site inspections and prepare inspection reports

Qualifications:- Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis
- Must be entering the final year of a qualified Bachelor's degree program following the summer of employment
- A Master's degree student is preferred
- Must have completed the following coursework
- Engineering Materials
- Structural Analysis
- At least one material design course (reinforced concrete or structural steel)
- Must be working towards, or already have (preferred), an EIT certification
- At least one previous related internship is preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform field investigations is preferred
- Preferred experience using the following software:
- AutoCAD
- SAP
2000 - LPile
- Mathcad
- Bluebeam
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
