Software Engineer
Schneider Electric is looking to hire an Application Development Intern for the Summer 2026.
This position joins the Power Systems North America
- Engineering Data Industrialization Team. The team focuses on utilizing the end-to-end data created during a Power Systems Equipment Project to enhance quality, productivity, and capacity in the Power Systems Engineering and Production processes.
This role will support our Automated Test initiative focused on validating the factory wiring of electrical switch gear. The selected candidate will combine AI workflow orchestration, tool using agents, and internal tools to transform test development from a manual engineering activity into a fully automated intelligent pipeline.
Responsibilities- Develop autonomous multi-agent systems that ingest device manuals, schematics, Modbus/industrial protocol maps, and specifications to generate complete automated test plans.
- Create AI workflows that reason over electrical drawings, signal flows, and functional requirements to derive test sequences, expected outcomes, register interactions, safety checks, and validation logic.
- Integrate AI agents with internal tools (Python libraries, test frameworks, SQL data stores, simulation tools, code repositories, and documentation systems).
- High level of competency with Python and Industrial Communication protocols.
