This person will work closely with both the design team, as well as the manufacturing team. This is a hybrid role, however, this candidate would have to live in or near San Antonio, TX.
Job DescriptionSUMMARY
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a manufacturing company in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will support new product development functions in an instrument manufacturing facility and involve incorporating the electrical facets of device operations for a demanding customer base. If you are a go-getter that can take the lead on all electrical aspects of the projects and has a passion for learning the latest electrical engineering practices and procedures and applies this knowledge to constant improvement, we want to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the design team, as well as the manufacturing execution of the products produced
- They will have the opportunity to assist with the electrical design standard for all of the Conditioning and Filtration products.
- Accountable for the delivery of specific milestones outlined in the project plan on time and complete
- Ability to develop comprehensive test plans for device operation and testing
- Will create, modify, interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to observe and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues
- Develop new products and technologies across multiple platforms simultaneously
- Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with core aptitude in controls and electrical engineering fundamentals
- Deliver the stage-gate engineering requirements to Product Management on time and complete
- Understand the customer expectations and operation/commissioning of instrumentation
- Develops a plan for prioritization of activities and ability to communicate actions in a collaborative team-oriented structure.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of in-depth experience applicable to the position applied for around the duties described.
- A comprehensive understanding of the electrical and mechanical operation of electronic devices. Preferable devices used for monitoring water quality.
- Experience in the development of products for certifications such as but not limited toUL or similar certifications.
