YourDay‑To‑Day Will Include:
- This person is a technical expert in HVAC and controls systems for design projects as part of a multi‑discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for healthcare facilities.
- This person serves as the mechanical engineer providing technical and design services in support of projects as part of a multi‑discipline project team.
- They will direct and conduct technical evaluations of mechanical equipment/systems, hydronic and steam systems, and medical has systems and prepare design calculations and assessments as needed to support projects.
- Be responsible for completing mechanical engineering design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Assist in the technical development of subordinate staff in mechanical design best practices.
- Communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs, technical writing of reports and correspondence with other discipline professionals, as well as with a Project Manager and representatives of the client organization to complete work efficiently.
- Must stay current with local, state & federal design standards and regulations.
- In addition, this person will have opportunity and responsibility to develop new work and clients related to mechanical engineering services for healthcare facilities.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- NC PE or ability to acquire - NC PE quickly through reciprocity.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Healthcare facilities projects required.
- Experience with HVAC systems including hydronic systems, steam systems and medical gas systems is required.
- High technical ability, interested in technology and staying current in the field.
- Good ability to communicate and a self‑starter.
- Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
