- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering design experience
- At least 1+ years supporting solid waste, landfill, or waste facility projects
- Strong technical understanding of waste and landfill systems
, including grading, drainage, and site civil design - Experience producing and reviewing engineering design drawings and calculations
- Professional Engineer (PE) license – major plus
- Prior experience working on projects for municipalities or large engineering firms
- Local to Charlotte or Raleigh, NC
- Perform civil engineering design for solid waste and landfill projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility coordination
- Develop construction drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations in accordance with regulatory and client requirements
- Support landfill infrastructure projects such as cell development, liner systems, leachate collection, stormwater controls, and access roads
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, geotechnical, structural) to integrate design components
- Assist project managers with technical input, schedules, and design deliverables across multiple projects
- Review and incorporate client and regulatory agency comments into design documents
- Ensure designs align with project budgets, schedules, and applicable solid waste regulations
- Participate in internal and external design reviews and technical working sessions
