JOB PURPOSE: The Project Manager will successfully manage assigned projects by planning, monitoring, and controlling all financial and technical aspects of the project, from project start to close out documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • ORGANIZES PROJECTS by accepting new projects from Sales or Administration; collecting and completing all needed project documentation; analyzing project timelines; understanding project requirements, collaborating with Service onneeded commissioning workload timeline; conferring and collaborating with engineering and Sales or Customer asneeded for proper scheduling.
  • HIRES SUBCONTRACTORS by reviewing competitive bid information; communicating with Sales as necessary; creating and maintaining proper subcontract documentation; enforcing proper execution of subcontract, enforcing safety requirements as needed.
  • DIRECTS SUBCONTRACTORS by reviewing project information, subcontract and specifications with subcontractor; communicating project timeline information; prioritizing areas of completion; answering questions to assure proper installation; enforcing proper installation methods; verify completion of project and documentation.
  • ORDERS EQUIPMENT completing proper material submittal Approval; scheduling delivery of material with site needs; addressing storage communication
  • BILLS PROJECTS by collaborating with the Administration for the proper creation ofbilling; coordinating with customer for needed billing requirements.
  • COMMUNICATES PROJECT INFORMATION by communicating as needed with, Sales, Management, Customer to progress; performing jobsite visit; documenting jobsitevisits; attending necessary jobsite meetings; updating any project deadline information; advising as to any changes in schedule or change orders; prices and directs change ordersas needed.
  • COMPLETES PROJECTS organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling assignments, coordinating with Engineering/ Customer. accepting turnover from Technicians and subcontractors for project close-out; preparing project close-out documentation; transferring needed As-builtdata to Closeout documentation, completing Warranty turnover;completing Owner Training.
  • ACHIEVES FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES by collaborating with management team by reviewing monthly job r cost reports; initiating corrective actions as directed.
  • MAINTAINS INDUSTRY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE by attending approved educational workshops; reviewing industry publications; maintaining knowledge on proper electrical and mechanical installation methods; maintaining knowledge of project management issues (i.e. contract negotiation).
  • MENTORING LESS SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERS by assisting in the recruiting and training of new employees (asneeded); sharing technical knowledge; sharing installation knowledge.
  • PROVIDING QUALITY CONTROL OF INSTALLATIONS by complying with and enforcing needed project safety requirements; critiquing and enforcing proper and safe commissioning methods; verifying conformance for proper project documentation; verifying completion ofall project tasks; communicating needed input to Management Team.
  • CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT byleading by example; initiating an open and positive attitude;preparing for and attending job progress review meetings;accomplishing related results as needed.
  • WILLINGNESS AND ABILITY TO TRAVEL by Cooperating and understanding the importance high profile customers with locations in multiple regions and recognizes asense of urgency with those needs.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to plan, schedule and manage multiple Projects totaling approximately 2.5 Million.
  • Knowledge of HVAC Mechanical Systems and Industry DDC
  • Ability to handle small projects from start to finish when required
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong spelling and grammatical report writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Project)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of AA Engineering Undergraduate Degree (preferred not required)
  • Project Management experience (at least 3 years)
