Overview
Remote Product Manager - IEEE 1547, UL 1741, or CSA standards
15% travel domestically
Compensation: $140-175k/annum
The Role: As a Product Manager, you will own the product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond. Working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, you will define product requirements, shape go-to-market strategies, and ensure our products meet customer needs and align with company objectives.
Responsibilities- Define product strategy, roadmap, and feature requirements based on market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives.
- Act as the voice of the customer and internal champion for EPC Power’s product lines.
- Develop business cases for new product opportunities, including ROI and cost analysis.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear, customer-focused product features.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to deliver products on time and within budget.
- Lead cross-functional product development initiatives through the product lifecycle.
- Monitor product performance and user feedback post-launch, driving continuous improvement.
- Support sales and marketing with product positioning, messaging, and training materials.
- Analyze competitors and market conditions to identify product differentiation and innovation opportunities.
- Manage product documentation, SKUs, and lifecycle status in coordination with supply chain and quality teams.
- Work with Development Project Management to develop technical project schedules and drive development project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in product management, preferably in power electronics, energy systems, or related industries.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate effectively with engineers and executives alike.
- Experience creating MRDs, PRDs, and managing product roadmaps.
- Demonstrated success in launching hardware-based products.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Productboard.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- MBA or Master’s in Engineering or Business.
- Experience with grid-tied, grid-forming, or hybrid inverter systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE 1547, UL 1741, or CSA standards.
- Experience working in fast-paced, growth-stage manufacturing environments.
