• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete.
• Prepare detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and observations.
• Perform basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports of results.
• Evaluate site conditions on construction projects and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ICC Certifications in soils, structural masonry, or reinforced concrete are required.
• Or an Engineering Intern (EI) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing through routine reports and correspondence.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written.
• Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 70 lbs. on a continual basis in all weather conditions.
• Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre‑employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
• Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites is required.
• Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements of this position.
