As an Electrical Design Engineer based in Raleigh, NC

HowYou’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain electrical design specifications and models aligned with industry standards.
- Perform design reviews, verifications, and targeted updates to improve quality and performance.
- Manage design tasks to meet milestones, timelines, and project commitments.
- Assess technical risks and drive mitigation strategies and design innovation.
- Partner with customers to integrate requirements and feedback into design solutions.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to support efficient, manufacturable, and cost-aware designs.
- Prepare and maintain clear design documentation to support execution and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on testing, data, and best practices.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transformer electrical design.
- Working knowledge of power industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA, and NEC.
- Understanding of transformer design parameters and design-to-cost principles.
- Ability to work independently, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
- Work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
