AECOM is hosting an્સ exclusive, invitation vendas hiring event in Raleigh on January 28‑29, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6‑8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Raleigh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early‑career opportunities.

Entry‑Level Transit/Rail Engineer to support our growing Transit and Rail practice in North Carolina. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and planners on transit and rail projects, including freight rail, light rail, streetcar, commuter rail, bus rapid transit (BRT), and multimodal corridor improvements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support planning, preliminary engineering, and detailed design for rail and transit infrastructure projects, including freight, commuter rail, light rail, streetcar, bus rapid transit (BRT), and transit facilities.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications under the supervision of senior engineers yadda.
• Perform assignments requiring application of standard engineering procedures, methods, and criteria to complete design tasks.
• Prepare engineering‑related calculations, drawings, and visual aids to support project development.
• Assist project managers and senior engineers with task production and coordination.
• Apply civil and transportation engineering principles and practices to assigned projects.
• Assist with maintaining project documentation and files in accordance with project and quality requirements.
• Produce high‑quality plan sets that accurately and clearly communicate design intent.
• Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior‑level team member.
丁香Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams while gaining exposure to project delivery processes, schedules, and budgets.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be organized and detail‑oriented.
• Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.
• Willingness to travel (if and when required).
• Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Familiarity in freight or transit rail clients.
• Previous work experience in rail is preferred.

• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

$65,000 per year.
