HydraulicDesigner
We’re looking for a Hydraulics Design/Engineer to support the development of Transportation Projects. Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic culvert/bridge design, and permitting. The desired candidate can also develop erosion and sediment pollution control design plans, as well as supplement design efforts of the overall civil/highway group.
LocationThis position will report to our Raleigh office at least 3 days a week. Other days will be worked remotely.
The Impact You Will Have- Perform hydrology/hydraulic analysis for the design and construction of transportation projects
- Perform stormwater management system and pond design
- Provide fieldwork assistance to verify existing site conditions
- Organize calculations based on design and project standards
- Draw and coordinate design details
- Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulatory agency requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- Willingness to develop understanding of Micro Station, Bentley Suite, GEOPAK drainage and HEC‑RAS
- Willingness to work in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment
- Knowledgeable and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form
