Engineering Technician II - Land Development

This position is full-time and based in the office, reporting to the Land Development Manager.

Booth & Associates, LLC is a consulting engineering firm specializing in engineering, surveying, and project management services for the utility industry. We seek a qualified Engineering Technician to assist with civil drawings, permitting, and fieldwork. The role offers diverse tasks to build experience with engineering practices and requires flexibility and eagerness to learn.

• Collaborate with project team members to determine design criteria, compile data, and design project aspects for construction.
• Prepare civil/grading plans and perform civil site design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, access roads, and stormwater BMPs. Experience with utility infrastructure design is a plus.
• Perform hydraulic/hydrologic calculations for erosion control and stormwater management, and assist in preparing project permits and reports.
• Use software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office Suite, Hydro
  
  CAD, Google Earth, and GIS tools regularly.
• Adhere to project budgets and company policies, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Occasional fieldwork may be required.

• Minimum two years of drafting/design experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD & Civil 3D;
  ArcGIS experience is a plus.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, Civil, or Surveying preferred.
• Civil/environmental design and hydrologic computation experience are advantageous; construction and field experience are also beneficial.
