Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager at AMT Engineering

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager, with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Raleigh, NC office. The right candidate will lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for NCDOT, SCDOT and North and South Carolina localities.

• Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and erosion and sediment control
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and reporting
• Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies
• Assist in preparing engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for advertisement and construction
• Meet and work directly with clients and public agency officials
• Work in collaboration with a transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multidisciplinary projects
• Provide QA/QC review following AMT and client-based procedures

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources
• Minimum of 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production
• Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software
• North Carolina-licensed Professional Engineer required. South Carolina PE preferred
• NCDOT experience highly preferred
• CADD experience with Micro Station/Open Roads required
• Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal
