Raleigh Water, a leading utility within the City of Raleigh, is responsible for providing exceptional water and wastewater services to the City of Raleigh service area, including the Towns of Garner, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Wendell, and Zebulon. Senior Project ManagerRaleigh Water is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide engineering support, inspection, and project management for water and sewer projects, along with associated environmental functions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, utilizing strong communication skills to coordinate project activities effectively. As the Senior Project Manager
, you will also provide consultation to other engineering staff and management, contributing your expertise to advance our public utilities projects.

Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Provides advanced engineering work, and coordination and oversight of project design and construction. Monitors adherence of projects and processes with policies, procedures, applicable code, specifications, regulations, and standards. Work involves driving to construction jobsites.
- Manages projects and coordinates stakeholders and resources including consultant selection process, project scoping, contract negotiation, design oversight, schedule monitoring, budget development and funding administration, and project close‑out.
- Oversees and administers construction projects including bid and contract administration, construction oversight, coordination of permitting, document reviews, and facilitation of progress meetings. Construction administration duties can also include providing guidance to an inspection staff and being available to them for questions arising from the construction project.
- Reviewing and approving shop drawings, approving pay requests, responding to requests for information from contractors.
- Reviewing and approving change orders, periodic construction site visits, conducting construction progress meetings, and making decisions that pertain to the project.
- Serves as technical resource and liaison for Raleigh Water Operations departments and contractors, consultants, developers, community groups, commission, agencies, City departments, private entities and other stakeholders. Responds to inquiries, requests and complaints; performs research; provides consultation; identifies and resolves issues.
- Attends, conducts, and delivers presentations at various meetings.
- Performs public outreach, preparing agendas, reports, cost estimates, computations, specifications, schedules, engineering drawings and other related documentation and communications materials.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 3 to 5 years' experience in architecture, engineering, construction management or related work.

Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
Licensing and
Certifications:
- Valid North Carolina Class C driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.
