Mechanical HVAC Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Architecture and Engineering (AE) team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of projects and building types, making a significant impact in our field.
Responsibilities- Possess a good working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code and Energy Conservation Code.
- Maintain strong communication skills and work effectively within a multi-discipline project team.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently under pressure with a positive attitude.
- Have working knowledge of codes and standards such as SMACNA, NEC, IBC, IMC, IECC, and ASHRAE.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Revit.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent commercial HVAC design experience.
- Strong knowledge of calculations, design, layout, and specification of commercial and institutional HVAC systems.
- Experience with HVAC replacement projects and project management.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience working on projects within higher education.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project management.
- Skill in plumbing design and Revit design.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
The position is based in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The firm is a 50+ person company experiencing growth in the MEP sector. This offers the unique opportunity to be part of the expansion in a primarily architecture-focused firm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.
