Most of our projects involve renovations of MEP/FP systems, presenting interesting challenges such as fitting equipment into existing structures and navigating construction constraints. Our senior engineers often serve as project managers, managing projects and client relationships, and are encouraged to seek new clients. We serve clients like government and educational institutions, often working in historic buildings.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Design mechanical systems for existing and new buildings as technical lead and project manager.
• Coordinate project activities to meet client expectations regarding quality, budget, and schedule.
• Build relationships with potential clients and contribute to business development.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to staff.

** Requirements:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering (HVAC), Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in HVAC design and construction administration.
• Experience with field surveys, code analyses, calculations, equipment selections, and specifications.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform extensive field surveys and physical activities.

This position reports to the Associate/Branch Office Manager/Senior Mechanical Engineer in Raleigh.
