Senior Roadway Design Engineer (Transportation)

Join AMT Engineering as a Senior Transportation Engineer in the Carolinas design teams. This role will be based in Raleigh, NC, with opportunities to work on projects at any AMT office.

We are looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer with extensive roadway design experience to lead and supervise the design and plan development for transportation projects.

• Lead and supervise roadway design and plan development.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and assist with project management tasks.
• Produce NCDOT plans and calculate quantities.
• Engage in corridor modeling and analyze transportation data.

• Minimum of 10+ years of roadway design experience, emphasizing corridor modeling.
• Professional Engineer License (PE) required; NC/SC preferred.
• Experience with NCDOT plan production and quantity calculations.
• Broad plan experience with TMP, Drainage, PMP, and Signing is a plus.
• Technical proficiency in Micro Station/GEOPAK with corridor modeling; preferred proficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
