About the role:

In this Field Application Engineering (FAE) role you will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Robot & Vision product category as well as understanding user needs and application use cases for robotic systems. It is a customer‑facing position that works closely with and supports our Strategic Key Accounts, OEM Machine Builders, and System Integration Partners to instill confidence and practicality in their high‑value problems, through the application of our industrial‑grade robotics.

The role will require a high level of mechatronics technical expertise and commercial judgement to achieve desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned product lines to support Product Management, Sales, and other functional groups to execute the strategy across Delta businesses, partners and customers. Creating strong working relationships with key stakeholders will be important to harnessing organizational impact beyond the assigned product technology and extending to the portfolio, ecosystem and solutions level.

This role will be responsible for pre‑sales and on‑site support at customers, key accounts, and partners—success will rely on leveraging progressive project management methodologies and an expert‑level application champion mindset. The ideal candidate will be especially curious and carry an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Robot & Vision product line includes:
Industrial SCARA and 6‑Axis Vertical arms, Collaborative Robots, Actuators, 2D & 3D Vision systems, Grippers and Screwdriving products. Robotic systems include:
Robot controls & Simulation Software, Open architecture and Code Sys controls, Visualization tools, Networking, Safety, and EOAT Ecosystem.

• Key Account Support
  • Technical support and project lead to named key accounts
  • Factory & RD Team liaison for use case scope discovery & offer alignment
  • Pre‑sales support & expanding product portfolio usage at target key accounts
• Product Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of the product and all its functions – become the GO‑TO tech expert
  • Testing new product introductions (NPI) & systems to verify they perform to specifications
  • Supplying any issues/bugs/errors back to the R&D team
  • Develop product specs and competitive fight sheets
• Product Support & Training Services
  • Post‑Sales trouble shooting product issues, validation, on‑site and RMA/Rework Assistance
  • Support Sales team and Customers with product training.
  • Support Email, Web, and Phone call service requests
  • Attend trade shows and support technical conversations with potential customers
  • Assist Product Launch and define areas of product improvement for next gen
• Development & Promotion
  • Work with Product Management and Marketing to ensure product documentation on web page, production selection site and supplied to customers is accurate
