Overview
Davenergy Solutions is a rapidly growing, profitable company headquartered in San Diego, CA. We seek a full-time Energy Engineer to join our dynamic and growing engineering consulting team. The selected applicant will conduct retro-commissioning services, energy audits at government facilities, and limited design assistance services on a variety of property types. Experience performing field assessment services and cost/benefit analyses on energy improvements is required.
Responsibilities- Perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, healthcare, multifamily residential, manufacturing, and institutional properties.
- Collect relevant information to redesign Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), perform energy benchmarking, and cost/benefit analyses.
- Model energy performance using tools such as eQUEST, TREAT, or similar software when required.
- Assist in limited mechanical design for ECMs as project capacity allows.
- Performance of energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III).
- Performance of energy savings calculations and life cycle cost analysis (LCCA).
- Retro-commissioning experience and ECM determination.
- ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of and experience with a variety of HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and ICC Building, Mechanical and Green Energy Codes.
- Experience performing whole-building energy modeling is a plus.
- Excellent report writing, computer, and internet skills; strong communication and time management.
- Ability to complete assignments on time and within budget; ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less); ability to lift up to 25 pounds and spend several hours standing.
- Ability to utilize ladders, scaffolding and other vertical support systems as part of construction inspections.
BS in Engineering or related fields.
RegistrationEIT required;
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) required; PE a plus.
- Ability to use a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products with strong computer literacy.
