SummaryDelta Oaks Group seeks a senior structural engineer to perform various structural engineering analysis and design services as part of our Structural Engineering Department located in Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will develop and implement tools to support business operational efficiency as well as technical production efficiency.

- Structural analysis and design utilizing manual calculations, commercial software, and in‑house tools, specifically new‑build foundation designs and tower‑reinforcement design.
- Programming in‑house tools for analysis, design, calculation, and report automation.
- Providing CAD support for the preparation of structural design drawings or assisting other departments.
- Coordinating with field personnel for structure mapping and inspection projects.
- Preparing engineering reports with recommendations for commercial and telecommunications structures.
- Reviewing jurisdictional and local governing agency requirements for structural analysis, design, and construction.
- Communicating with clients on design needs and production deadlines under the direction of a Chief Structural Engineer or associated project lead.
- Reviewing and QA/QC‑ing assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff.
- Responding to owner/contractor queries under the supervision of the Vice President of Structural Engineering or associated Project Lead.
- Providing training and guidance to CAD and structural personnel.
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast‑paced environment that requires communication with co‑workers and strategic partners.
- Proficiency with commercial tower analysis software such as tnx Tower.
- Proficiency with finite‑element software such as RISA 3D, applied to antenna mounts and custom structures.
- Experience with foundation analysis/design software, including Caisson and LPILE.
- Competence in visual calculation software such as MathCAD.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in automation technologies such as Visual Basic, Python, and C++.
- Strong technical verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read technical literature and engineering plans.
- Advanced knowledge of tower and foundation reinforcement methods.
- Demonstrated experience in wireless telecommunication structure analysis and design.
- Understanding of structure mapping and inspection techniques.
If background and job experience fit, higher experience levels will be considered.
EducationBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET‑accredited institution is required. Professional Engineer certification with structural emphasis is preferred.
