Staff interns are not required to be North Carolina State University students. Interns remain at their home university during the internship and will travel (when required) to support program training, YRRP youth development programs, or other Project YES sanctioned events.

Youth events may be facilitated through

Together, the mentor and intern will complete a variety of activities designed to better inform and prepare the intern for a smooth, successful school-to-work transition.

Interns must attend a mandatory Project YES Intern Orientation and mid-year training (date TBD) and commit to supporting a minimum of one YRRP weekend per month (Fri-Sun) for the duration of the internship.

Additional orientations will be scheduled, as required. Following orientation, interns may work 1-2 weekends a month, however interns must commit to a minimum of one weekend per month (Fri-Sun) for the duration of the internship.
