Anticipated Hiring Range: $18/hour
Job Responsibilities- Provide 10 hours per week of support, including direct peer mentoring and leadership responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate inclusive social events on and off campus
- Meet with approximately 5 Elevate students weekly to assist with scheduling, goal setting, leisure skill instruction, course navigation, assignment planning, time management, and academic goal creation
- Encourage participation in clubs, campus life, and coach‑led activities
- Collaborate with staff and Elevate staff to create interest‑based social experiences and resources that promote independence and engagement
- Coordinate study sessions, academic check‑ins, and navigator‑led learning routines
- Facilitate social skills groups for Elevate students
- Guide and support navigators in modeling and encouraging natural social connections and effective support strategies and communication practices
- Conduct monthly check‑ins with navigators to promote collaboration and troubleshoot challenges
- Plan workshops for Elevate students and navigators, including academic workshops
- Attend staff‑ or consultant‑developed trainings to support Coach skill development
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at NC State University
- Must have served as a peer mentor with the Elevate program for at least one full semester
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for inclusion
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and provide constructive support to peers
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite tools and digital scheduling and communication mechanisms used by the Elevate program
