Overview
The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department seeks to broaden and expand our program offerings and hire enthusiastic, hard-working instructors who offer unique programming opportunities to our community. We are currently hiring instructors at Halifax Community Center located at 1023 Halifax St, Raleigh, 27604.
Responsibilities- Instructs various programs and assists with marketing of programs.
- 2 years teaching experience preferred in recreation programs
- Great communication skills
- Motivated individual
- Applicant must attend all required trainings
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and controlled substance test and fingerprint testing.
Positions in this class typically require Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Seeing, Pushing and Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing and Repetitive Motions. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
