Learning and Leadership Devlopment Specialist

Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Learning & Leadership Experience, the Learning and Leadership Development Specialist is accountable for managing and optimizing learning programs and systems that support staff onboarding, training and professional development. This position will focus on leveraging the Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning tools to support effective learning strategies that meet individual and organizational needs.

The Learning and Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for managing those functions in accordance with the stated mission and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or 1-2 years experience managing and supporting Learning Management systems.
• Experienced and passionate about creating and fostering communities and relationship building through programs.
• Demonstrated experience in program and personnel development.
• Ability to effectively manage staff and programs.
• Exceptional oral, public speaking, and written communication skills.
• Possess a high level of organization, ability to prioritize and possess the capacity to respond and handle multiple tasks appropriately in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
• Requires a positive attitude, high level of initiative and professionalism, and enjoy working in and creating a strong team environment.
• Demonstrate initiative, effectively prioritize, and possess strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Multi-lingual desired but not required.
