This position is located in Morehead City, NC, and is a full-time, 12-month recurring appointment.
Position OverviewThe Regional Outreach Facilitator (ROF) is an integral part of NC Cooperative Extension and the More in My Basket (MIMB) program. The ROF supports outreach in eight eastern counties:
Carteret, Columbus, Duplin, Jones, New Hanover, Onslow, Wayne, and Wilson, working under the guidance of the Carteret County Extension Director and the MIMB Program Director.
- Support Extension Agent outreach and serve as liaison with MIMB campus-based team.
- Organize regional agent update meetings and outreach events.
- Engage with community organizations, facilitate SNAP eligibility screening, and support outreach activities.
- Develop community partnerships and participate in community coalitions.
- Coordinate and support multi-county education programs targeting low-resource populations.
- Master’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in extension, education, or industry.
- Demonstrated skills in program development, evaluation, and community partnership building.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and travel within the geographical area.
- Experience working with low-income and diverse populations.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with social media and technology tools.
Salary range: $39,000 - $43,650, commensurate with experience. Valid NC driver’s license required.
Work schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with evenings and weekends as needed.
