Pay Grade: Specialist 7

Job Overview

This part‑time, temporary position serves all locations of Wake Technical Community College. The Enrollment Navigator ensures that students understand the enrollment process and connects them to institutional resources, primarily through outreach and support to admitted students, supporting access, retention, persistence, and completion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted outreach and support to admitted students, including economically disadvantaged and other underrepresented populations.
  • Assist students in the enrollment process through phone, text, and email communication.
  • Offer one‑on‑one guidance to support students and help them identify opportunities to enhance their college success.
  • Provide referrals for services based on individualized student needs.
  • Teach students how to navigate the enrollment process at Wake Technical Community College.
  • Collaborate with other college departments to support student‑success initiatives and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Document and track outreach initiatives as required by grant requirements.
  • Complete required professional development.
  • Participate in college‑wide and service‑area activities and events that promote the growth of the college and staff professional development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office products.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree.
  • Student support or student services/admissions experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with community college policies and procedures.
  • Experience with student information system.
  • One year of data entry experience.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
