UNC Family Medicine at Hedingham is seeking a Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine). This clinic provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and the ability to make a difference in patients’ lives. This position is open to both new and experienced physicians.

• Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• An active, unrestricted NC medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• An interest in working with a medically complex adult population
• Experience and interest in working with mental health in a primary care setting is a plus

• Preventive healthcare
• Sick care
• Physicals
• Immunizations
• Women’s health
• Management of acute and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
• Screening tests

Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Board certified in area of specialty; MD/DO license in healthcare specialty; DEA; ACLS; BCLS; MD/DO.

Prefer prior experience.

Skills:

Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

High‑level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential in order to diagnose medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in area of specialty.
