UNC Rex OB Hospitalist invites you to become part of our dynamic, expanding group serving the Triangle community. Here, you will join a dedicated team of physicians and midwives providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care at our UNC Rex (Raleigh) location. The incoming physician will gain colleague support from established physicians and midwives, great clinical support, a welcoming community, and a supportive schedule for work/life balance.

• Established group of 7 OB/GYNs, 7 CNMs, and 1 WHNP
• Full time position of (7) 24 hr or (14) 12 hr shifts within a (28) day period
• Shifts consist of (2) providers: 1 MD/DO and 1 CNM to support service
• Hospitalist can expect 30-40 deliveries per month
• Da Vinci robotics available at UNC Rex (Raleigh) Hospital
• 21 Bed Level 4 NICU by North Carolina standards, Level 3 NICU by American Academy of Pediatrics
• NICU is 27 weeks and up
• 24/7 Neonatology - Neonatologists onsite during the day and on call  in house 24/7
• EPIC (EHR) w/ AI Scribe capabilities to utilize during documentation
• Collaborative and collegial team welcoming of experienced and new providers

Eligibility and Documentation

Education Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Board Certified OBGYN, DEA; ACLS; MD

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient English communication

High-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential to diagnose medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS preferred. Board certified in OBGYN.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Requires sitting, typing, talking, occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Physician generally works in a medical office setting. Noise level typically moderate. Reasoning abilities as described above.
