Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) with 3–7 years of commercial construction experience to support the successful execution of ground-up and renovation projects.
This role is ideal for rising construction professionals who are ready to expand their experience in budget management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while working alongside senior Project Managers on complex commercial builds.
Key Responsibilities- Support Project Managers in delivering commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Assist with budget tracking, cost controls, and forecasting
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers
- Review and process pay applications and vendor invoices
- Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules
- Participate in OAC meetings (Owner-Architect-Contractor)
- Track procurement of long-lead materials
- Help drive compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Support punch list management and project turnover
- 3–7 years of experience in Commercial Construction
- Experience supporting ground-up or large renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation and contract administration
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Understanding of project budgeting and cost control principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
