What You Will Do:
- Project Planning:
Create comprehensive plans that outline project scope, goals, timelines, and resource requirements. - Budget Management:
Monitor and control project finances, ensuring that costs stay within budgetary constraints. - Timeline Management:
Keep projects on schedule by tracking progress, addressing delays, and adjusting plans as necessary. - Subcontractor Management:
Collaborate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure obligations are met. - Client Communication:
Regularly update clients on project status, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive client relationship. - Site Inspection:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being done according to specifications and quality standards. - Problem Solving:
Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise during the reconstruction process to minimize delays and disruptions. - Documentation:
Maintain detailed project documentation including invoices, work orders, change orders, supplements, and progress reports. - Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality standards to ensure the reconstruction work meets or exceeds expectations. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
What You Will Need:
- 3+ years of residential construction experience
- 1+ year experience working with insurance claims in the restoration industry
- Construction Management degree and/or certification strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret insurance claim estimates, building specifications and other documents
- Working knowledge of project management and restoration software
