Construction Laborer - Raleigh, NC

Overview

The Construction Laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of workers on the construction site. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our construction sites located in our Southeast Region, in/near Raleigh, North Carolina.

• Effectively clean and prepare construction sites, identifying and eliminating potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform all duties with a strong commitment to safety, always adhering to best practices and safety guidelines.
• Engage in various groundwork activities, including grading work using hand tools, installing erosion and sediment controls, utility installation, and working in and around trenches. Provide signals to equipment operators to facilitate seamless operations.
• Safely control traffic near, in, or around work zones to protect both workers and the public.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing positively to group efforts and project success.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to identify and address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

• At least one year of construction experience preferred.

The employee must have the ability to work comfortably and safely at heights on all types of structures and must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment provided by the company. The workplace is an outdoor construction project site with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions, dust, pollen, insects, and chemicals. The employee may be exposed to concrete dusty inclement weather conditions, extreme heat, noise, vibrations, and a variety of petroleum products.
