Job OverviewThis position is with our National Healthcare Division and requires 100% travel. Candidates will be eligible for travel incentives.
Key Role Responsibilities – Core- Lead the safety culture and demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment.
- Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
- Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO.
- Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
- Coordinate and manage the care, custody, and control of the project site.
- Lead daily stand‑ups and weekly trade meetings.
- Participate in progress, OAC, and other project meetings.
- Create, manage, and update the project schedule with the Project Manager.
- Track and monitor project budget and costs.
- Communicate key project information to owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain filing and documentation systems; update drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks.
- Approve and record unit cost information for weekly reports; complete daily reports and tracking reports.
- Evaluate progress on self‑perform work and adjust as needed.
- Manage material and equipment needs for the project.
- Support MOC (Material and Other Costs) and DLSC procurement and approval processes.
- Select formwork, tools, and equipment for self‑perform operations.
- Approve timecards and ensure accurate hours and cost codes.
- Ensure quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC resources.
- Support project closeouts by supervising pre‑punch activities and coordinating with owner, architect, and authorities.
- Understand project pursuit processes and methodology.
- Participate in pre‑planning and adjust throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with field leadership for staffing and with project management for schedule and cost changes.
- Participate in negotiations with owners and architects for project changes.
- Prepare and present at project review meetings and buyer‑out meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
- Apply terms and conditions of owner and subcontractor contracts.
- Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.
- Implement JE Dunn’s non‑discrimination policy proactively.
- Manage complex standalone projects from start to finish.
- Assume responsibility for scheduling, production, safety, and quality on projects or portions thereof.
- Identify, understand, and manage project risks.
- Recommend solutions for identified problems.
- Manage deliverables from internal resources such as IPS, logistics, and others.
- Participate in project pursuits.
- Accurate, timely, and complete work performance.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication.
- Intermediate presentation skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, project management and accounting software, JE Dunn technology, and scheduling software.
- Apply principles of Lean, construction methods, and project processes.
- Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
- Knowledge of self‑perform and labor productivity.
- Manage budgets, maximize profitability, and build future work relationships.
- Understand organizational structure and available resources.
- Know layout skills and crane flagging/rigging.
- Interpret document changes and their impact on schedule.
- Build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
- 5+ years construction experience.
- 3+ years field supervision experience.
- Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Possible travel and/or relocation.
- Exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Willingness to work non‑traditional hours.
- Frequent activities:
Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above shoulder, Pushing, Pulling. - Occasional activities:
